Threading machines
Also called threading wheel
Benchtop machines that turn the pipe at a set angle so a wrapped thread of glass comes out even every time.
What it is
A benchtop machine that holds and turns the pipe for threading. Spiral Arts’ adjusts and locks into position, with a gauge for setting the angle;[1] Steinert’s multi-positional threading wheel has replaceable bearings and bushings.[2]
How it’s used
It’s for spiral wraps of thread: the point, in Spiral Arts’ words, is getting “that spiral wrap the same every time”.[1]
