Knock-off pads
Heat-resistant pads to knock a finished piece off the punty onto.
What it is
A pad of heat-resistant material that a finished piece is knocked off onto. Leviathan’s Gnarly Knockoff Pads are a vermiculite-impregnated material rated to 2000°F.[1]
How it’s used
Leviathan points out that glass that has stopped moving is still around 1500°F, which is why a rated pad beats “old burnt pieces of gloves”.[1]
