Stainless molds with fins instead of ribs, for blowing crisp facets on goblets and tumblers.

What it is

Jim Moore’s fin molds are stainless steel and come in six profiles (bowl, sherry, wine, pilsner, tumbler, and small tumbler), with 6 or 8 facets.⁠^⁠[1] He also makes detachable fin molds with 18 ribs that can be arranged as needed.⁠^⁠[1]

How it’s used

They’re for faceted goblets and similar forms: “Once you learn to master it, your patience will be rewarded with crisp facets.”⁠^⁠[1]
